Size AI measures 90+ garment types across 9 categories, from shirts and jackets to pants, dresses, and underwear, using the same LiDAR flat-lay capture for every category.

How Size AI decides what to measure

Size AI reads the garment's shape, not its label. Lay it flat and capture it like anything else: the on-device model recognizes the shape from the silhouette and picks the points of measure for it, up to 12 per garment. A tank top gets 5. A pair of jeans gets 12. Points of measure by garment shape shows every set on a line drawing.

What Size AI doesn't measure (and why)

The LiDAR plus edge-detection pipeline is built for flat-lay garment cloth. Non-cloth shapes don't yield useful keypoints because the depth map and edge model both rely on fabric drape and seam geometry. Rigid surfaces, like leather shoes, hard plastic accessories, and metal jewelry, break those assumptions. The team has explored separate capture modalities for footwear, but the iOS app today doesn't include them.
